Please Stay At Arsenal, Wenger Tells Wilshere

Gunners coach, Arsene Wenger has disclosed his desire to make Jack Wilshere sign a new contract at the Emirates. Wenger has insisted on keeping the England international, despite his injury problems and the French man is quite optimistic of Wilshere's ability to get over his endless bout of injuries.

Wenger said, "He has two years left and I want Jack to stay here, when you love football and at his age, when you wake up in the morning and you can't practice, that's terrible. It's true he hasn't played many games in recent years. I hope at some stage, that will stop because he is young and I hope I'm right".

Wenger also said, "He is a special case because he is a special talent and he comes out of the club. And he is an England international and I hope his injuries will stop at some stage".
It was recently reported that the England international is close to agreeing terms of a new deal. The report claims the midfielder is ready to commit his future to Arsenal in a deal that will lift his current £90,000 a week to £110,000 and the new contract is expected to run till 2021.

Wilshere currently has two and a half years left in his current contract, but the report stated that Arsenal are not willing to risk a situation where the talented midfielder may be forced to seek a transfer. A report that has now been confirmed by the Gunners coach.

Gunners Coach, Arsene Wenger, has always shown great hopes and confidence in the injury prone midfielder even with his many off-field controversies and sets of serious short and long term injuries. The player is currently injured and still on the road to full recovery. His fractured left fibula has left him on the sidelines since July last year.

Wilshere's frequent injuries have greatly stalled his progress. The 24- year old was only able to play 14 league games last season, starting 9 of those. He was able to score just 2 league goals last season. Wilshere hasn't featured this season, but it's obvious, Arsene Wenger hasn't lost faith on the academy graduate.
