A man who confronted some men who threatened to r*pe his girlfriend, has ended up getting much more than he bargained for.

Tom Kennedy, a 30-year-old man was beaten unconscious and left in a ‘pool of blood’ after his attackers threatened to r*pe his girlfriend.
According to Metro UK, Tom Kennedy was beaten up by a number of men in a small dust track near Paget Road, Trumpington, in Cambridge, on Friday.
The attack happened at around midnight when Tom and his girlfriend were cycling home drunk after a night out.
He said: ‘We were riding home along the busway, but I don’t remember much more after the incident happened. My girlfriend says that two guys told her to go away or they’ll rape her.
‘Then she ran away while they beat me up. She came back to find me in a pool of blood.
‘We suspect there were more than two. I’m 6 ft 3 and I can fight very well, but they caught me off guard and drunk.
‘I’ve been on the end of some beatings as well but nothing like that.’

The men, who ran off after beating Tom for around five minutes, didn’t steal anything.
He did not break any bones or get any internal bleeding but was bruised heavily.
However, Tom, who is the owner of the Crank and Sprocket bike shop in Trumpington, says he wants to raise awareness about the area as he would hate it to happen to anyone else.
‘They didn’t take anything of mine,’ he added. ‘They just literally caved my skull in and left.
‘I don’t know why, that’s something for the police to try and work out, but the point is that I want to do everything I can to make it lit.
‘If it happened to anyone else I’d hate it.’
A police spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 12.55am to reports of an assault and concerns for a man in Paget Road, Cambridge.'
