Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti has reacted to the claim by one of his former band members that the iconic singer owes his employees and that he sleeps with underage girls.
Earlier in the day, the Grammy nominated singer and his sister, Yeni Kuti took to social media to call out one of their bassist, Aghedo Andrew, who disappeared 20 minutes to the start of their performance at Summer Stage in New York, USA. Femi stated that the runaway bassist almost ruined his performance set while Yeni called the bassist a betrayer.
In reaction to this report, another former band member leveled a shocking allegation against Femi Kuti. The said instrumentalist revealed his name to be Solomon Idowu and he claimed to be an American Citizen. Solomon revealed that he worked with Femi as a member of his band for a couple of years before exiting the band. He accused Femi and Yeni of telling lies. Solomon claimed the Kutis do not pay their band members well and that they treat their employees badly. He went on to accuse Femi Kuti of owing him money from his time with his band. Solomon also claimed that Femi sleeps with underage girls.
Femi shot back at his accuser. His reaction came in the form of a social media post in which he dismissed the claims made by Solomon Idowu. He hinted that there is no truth in his accuser’s claim, stating that he does not employ underage girls and that he has no reported Child-sex case against him.
