The Biggest Losers At Grammys 2019

The 2019 Grammy Awards may have come and gone but for people like Cardi B, it is a night she would never forget. On the contrary, there were a number of other people who would have been disappointed to have gone home empty-handed. Here’s a quick look at the biggest losers on the night.

Travis Scott
With a sold-out album and three nominations, it was expected that Travis Scott would win at least one. Unfortunately, he missed out on all three of them- including the highly coveted Best Rap Album category.

Kanye West
In 2018, Kanye West submitted is Kids See Ghosts song “Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)” for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance; but he was not nominated in either category. His only nod at this year’s Grammy was in the Producer, Non-Classicalcategory which Pharrell Williams.

Taylor Swift
For a while, Taylor was the darling of the Grammys, scooping ten awards in ten years. This year, she only secured one nomination in the Pop Vocal Album category which she lost to Ariana Grande.

Pusha T
2018 saw Pusha return to the mic with his acclaimed album, Daytona. It wasn’t surprising that it received the nomination for Best Rap Album. Not only did he lose out to Cardi B, but it must also have hurt the more that his archnemesis Drake won one on the same night.

Seun Kuti
It’s not the fact that Seun’s album did not win the World Music Grammy Award that makes him a loser. However, he missed his scheduled performance was only managed to walk the red carpet. He later explained that he had flight mixup and could not attend rehearsals for his set.

21 Savage
The embattled rapper faces deportation back to the country of his birth England after being arrested by US Immigration services last week. Strangely, none of his peers spoke on his behalf at the Grammys, despite the fact that he had two nominations.
