5 Artistes Whose Albums Will Drop Before 2019, Which One Do You Think Would Be The Hottest?

Musically, 2018 has been a great year. We’ve heard some ground breaking hits, fabulous collabos and some unexpected moves by Nigerian artistes.

Davido shut down Wireless Festival and also won BET International Act award, Wizkid signed contract deals with Nike, D&G and recently met American hip hop legend, Diddy.

However, apart from these notable moments, 2018 holds a lot of goodness musically. Here a five albums that are expected to drop before the year winds to a close.

1. Wizkid – MadeInLagos

Wizkid last dropped an album last year, ‘Sounds From The Other Side‘ and this year, the Soco crooner isn’t resting on his oars yet.

His sophomore album which dropped in 2014, Ayostill sits gallantly atop the iTunes Nigerian Album Charts and MadeInLagos should experience a similar success.

However, it has no features or collaborations according to Wizkid. But will it be the best album that will drop this year?

2. Davido

Title of the album still unannounced, Davido has on two occasions promised us he will drop his long awaited album this year.

Firstly, when he won the Artiste of the year award at the Headies and recently during his acceptance speech while receiving his BET award.

However, along with the other albums scheduled to drop this year, will Davido’s outshine the likes of Wizkid’s MadeInLagos?

3. Tekno

On several occasions, Tekno has shown a lot of promise and also exhibited his extraordinary talent. Apart from being an artiste, Tekno is also a Producer and a Dancer.

Tekno wrote the biggest hit last year, If which he wrote for his long time friend, Davido.

However, this year, Tekno is dropping his debut album and he tweeted recently that it will be the biggest album this year. Should we believe him?

4. M.I – Yung Denzl

Well, probably for the umpteenth time, M.I has rescheduled the release of his Yung Denzl album.

It’s somehow surprising that M.I would be dropping another album this year after releasing Rendezvous early this year. But this time, M.I has vowed to release Yung Denzl in the third week of August. Probably, this could be the greatest album this year….

5. Mr Eazi – Lagos To London

Mr Eazi has also been teasing the release of his mixtape, Lagos To London.

Mr Eazi has been on a major wave this year after signing a licensing deal with intenational platforms, Columbia Records UK.

After releasing Accra to Lagos in 2017, Mr Eazi is set to release his sophomore album this year.
